About

Technologies for the sustainable use of coal provide opportunities to meet the important challenges of our energy future. This forthcoming event will address the wide range of thermo-chemical conversion issues of carbon feedstock and will provide a high-level discussion forum for exchange of information and expertise. Studies, current projects and operational experiences regarding IGCC and XtL technologies shall be presented, focusing on

  • Gasification technology development/co-gasification,
  • Fuel preparation,
  • Low temperature conversion processes (e.g. extraction, torrefaction and pyrolysis),
  • Synthesis gas treatment,
  • Combined cycle and gas turbine developments,
  • Progress in synthesis technologies and synthesis gas applications,
  • Entire concept evaluations,
  • Underground coal gasification,
  • Direct liquefaction of coal,
  • Coal and renewables integration for chemical storage,
  • Carbon dioxide capture, storage and utilization,

At the most senior level we address strategic and political considerations to promote and advance clean coal technology. Keynote speakers will provide surveys on the latest trends for strategic orientation. The Conference Programme will include an interesting social programme and relevant technical tours.

We encourage you to submit an abstract to the conference and to join for discussions. We hope to see you in Leipzig!
